Salcombe Style

Winter here in the South Hams is generally mild & is a beautiful setting all year round for weddings & events. I was delighted to style some tables for Hatch Marquees outside the Cliff House in Salcombe on two themes: 'Coastal' and "Winter'. The foliage table runner was created by The Velvet Daisy

The coastal centrepiece is a mixture of grey & verdigris painted lanterns, potted succulents and silver foliage with a scattering of shells, pebbles & driftwood. The runner is hand-dyed grey muslin.

The place settings are enhanced with linen napkins, hand-dyed silk ribbons & watercoloured rag-paper stationery. Anyone collecting pebbles or shells from the local beach for decoration can return them after the event so no harm is done. The recycled glassware is the perfect tone for a coastal theme, while also being environmentally friendly. Perfect!

The 'Winter' theme was achieved with a fragrant eucalyptus centrepiece edged with gold, glass & brass candle holders. Blue Spode plates were topped with hand-dyed linen napkins, silk ribbons & watercoloured rag paper stationery. The rose gold cutlery added warmth & a touch of opulence.
